Sound familiar?
Planning Center Giving is great for receiving gifts. Getting those gifts into your books is still a manual job.
Export, sort, retype
Every payout means pulling a report, totaling it by fund, and keying a journal entry into QuickBooks.
Fees and splits
Processing fees, covered fees and gifts split across several funds all have to land in the right accounts.
Deposits that don't match
Pooled payouts rarely line up with a single report, so month-end reconciliation takes longer than it should.
How it will work
Set it up once. After that it runs on its own.
Connect
Sign in to Planning Center and QuickBooks Online through their official connection screens. We never see your passwords.
Map your funds once
Pick the income account (and class or location, if you use them) for each Planning Center fund. Choose where fees and refunds go.
Daily automatic posting
Every day, OfferingSync will post a summary entry to QuickBooks covering:
- Gifts, totaled by fund
- Processing fees, to your fee expense account
- Refunds, reversed against the right fund
- Cash and check batches, once committed
Entries go through a clearing account, so each bank deposit becomes a simple transfer to match. Each entry will note the Planning Center dates and batches it covers, so you can trace any number.

Accounting software
We're starting with QuickBooks Online, then adding Xero.

The first version will support QuickBooks Online, including classes and locations for fund tracking.
Xero Coming soon
Xero support is planned next, with tracking categories for funds. Tell us on the form if you use Xero so we can prioritize it.
Early access pricing
Pricing isn't final yet. The plan is a simple monthly subscription based on how many gifts your church receives, so smaller churches pay less. People on the waitlist will be first to try it and will get a founding member rate.
Questions
Straight answers about how your data will be handled.
Is my church's data secure?
Connections use the official sign-in (OAuth) screens from Planning Center and Intuit, so we never see or store your passwords. Access tokens and data will be encrypted in transit and at rest. You can disconnect at any time from inside Planning Center or QuickBooks, and we'll delete your data on request.
What can OfferingSync do in Planning Center?
Only read. It reads gifts, funds, fees, refunds and batches so it can build your entries. It never creates, edits or deletes anything in Planning Center, and it can't move money.
Do you sell or share donor data?
No. We will never sell donor data or use it for marketing. The entries we post to QuickBooks are totals by fund, so individual donor names don't need to go into your ledger at all.
What does it write to QuickBooks?
Summary journal entries to the accounts you choose, typically one per day. It doesn't touch your other transactions, and every entry is tagged so you can find and review it.
Is this made by Planning Center or Intuit?
No. OfferingSync is an independent tool built by a payments engineer. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by Planning Center, Intuit or Xero.
When will it be ready?
We're in early development and talking with church bookkeepers now. Join the list and we'll email you when early access opens. No spam, and you can unsubscribe any time.
